Asta Bjarnadottir is Chief Human Resources Officer at Landspitali University Hospital in Iceland. Asta has pioneered work on assessing human resource maturity, through her work as co-founder of the CRANET HR practices survey in Iceland since 2002. Prior to her consulting career she was responsible for human resources at Baugur Retailing, Decode Genetics and Reykjavik University. Asta spent 10 years in academia, as a faculty member and administrator at Reykjavik University, and she has also taught at Aarhus University in Denmark and Management Center Innsbruck in Austria. She is the author of a book on personnel selection, published in 1996 and 2012. Asta holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational psychology from the University of Minnesota.
